For founder Simon Hunt, horse racing wasn’t just a hobby; it was a family tradition. Growing up, he attended the Grand National and other major meetings with his family, and from the moment he saw his first winner cross the finish line, he was hooked. The thrill, the unpredictability, and the science behind each race captivated him.

Simon started his analytical journey the old-fashioned way — with a notebook in hand at the racetrack. He would record form, conditions, and results, meticulously noting which horses thrived under certain circumstances. Over time, he began identifying trends that repeated themselves, learning the subtle art of interpreting data long before algorithms were a part of the conversation.

Eventually, Simon transitioned from handwritten notes to spreadsheets, where he could structure and manipulate data more effectively. The analytical side of racing began to unfold in new ways, revealing recurring patterns that others often overlooked. But not every pattern held true over the long term — a humbling discovery that reinforced the need for precision, discipline, and evidence-based analysis.

As the workload grew, Simon began teaching himself PHP to automate repetitive processes and ensure analytical consistency. This coding foundation later evolved into sophisticated AI-powered algorithms.

From this careful, data-driven groundwork emerged the foundation for RaceChatAI — a predictive system that merges decades of practical racing insight with advanced artificial intelligence.
